Ingredients

1 sheet Puff Pastry
8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
1 cup Strawberries, sliced
½ cup Powdered Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 large Egg
Flour, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet to about 1/8 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut out heart shapes using a heart-shaped cookie cutter.
- Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl, blend until smooth.
- Wash and slice strawberries, add sugar if needed.
- Place a tablespoon of cream cheese filling on each heart-shaped pastry and top with strawberry slices.
- Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling and crimp to seal.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Garnish with mint, drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce, or serve with whipped cream.
