Description

Delightful heart-shaped danishes filled with creamy strawberry filling, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

1 sheet Puff Pastry

8 oz Cream Cheese, softened

1 cup Strawberries, sliced

½ cup Powdered Sugar

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

1 large Egg

Flour, for dusting


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet to about 1/8 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Cut out heart shapes using a heart-shaped cookie cutter.
  4. Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl, blend until smooth.
  5. Wash and slice strawberries, add sugar if needed.
  6. Place a tablespoon of cream cheese filling on each heart-shaped pastry and top with strawberry slices.
  7. Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling and crimp to seal.
  8. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Garnish with mint, drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce, or serve with whipped cream.
