- ½ cup Butter, cold and cubed
- ¾ cup Milk
- 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Herbs, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture and blend until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gently stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped fresh herbs.
- Make a well in the center of the dry mixture and pour in the milk, gently combining until just incorporated.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead gently 2-3 times, then flatten into a circle, about 1-inch thick.
- Slice the circle into equal wedges or triangles.
- Transfer cut scones to a lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving warm.
