Description

Delightful and festive Meringue Christmas Trees that are easy to make and perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Egg Whites
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cream of Tartar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Gel Food Coloring (optional)
  • Edible Glitter or Sprinkles (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whip the egg whites on low speed until frothy.
  3. Gradually add cream of tartar and increase the speed to medium-high, whisking until soft peaks form.
  4. Slowly incorporate the sugar, one tablespoon at a time, while continuing to whip until glossy and stiff peaks form.
  5. Fold in vanilla extract and any desired food coloring gently.
  6. Transfer the meringue to a piping bag and pipe tree shapes onto the parchment paper.
  7. Bake for about 1 hour, or until edges are dry and meringues peel easily from the paper.
  8. Turn off the oven and leave the meringues inside to cool for an hour.

Notes

Ensure your mixing bowl and whisk are clean and free of grease for best results.
