Description

A delicious and healthier alternative to store-bought chocolate hazelnut spreads, made from simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup Hazelnuts

1/3 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

1/2 cup Powdered Sugar

12 tbsp Vegetable Oil (or melted coconut oil)

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Once cooled, transfer the roasted hazelnuts to a food processor and process for 5-7 minutes until creamy.
  3. Add cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and salt. Blend until combined and smooth.
  4. While blending, gradually drizzle in the vegetable oil until desired consistency is achieved.
  5. Add vanilla extract and blend for another minute. Your chocolate nutella is ready!

Notes

Store in an airtight container. Can last up to a month in the fridge. For easier spreading, warm slightly in the microwave if refrigerated.
