1 cup all-purpose flour (sifted)
1 cup water (filtered)
½ cup unsalted butter
4 large eggs
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup eggnog
â…“ cup powdered sugar
½ teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water and butter, stirring until the butter melts. Remove from heat and add the flour, stirring until the dough forms a ball.
- Allow the dough to cool slightly, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Transfer the dough to a piping bag and pipe circles on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- While the pastry is baking, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form, then add powdered sugar, eggnog, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
- Once cooled, fill the puffs with the eggnog cream using a piping bag.
Notes
Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate for extra flavor.
