Description

Delicious cream puffs filled with a rich, eggnog-flavored cream, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour (sifted)

1 cup water (filtered)

½ cup unsalted butter

4 large eggs

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1 cup eggnog

â…“ cup powdered sugar

½ teaspoon nutmeg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water and butter, stirring until the butter melts. Remove from heat and add the flour, stirring until the dough forms a ball.
  3. Allow the dough to cool slightly, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Transfer the dough to a piping bag and pipe circles on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. While the pastry is baking, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form, then add powdered sugar, eggnog, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
  7. Once cooled, fill the puffs with the eggnog cream using a piping bag.

Notes

Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate for extra flavor.
