Description

A delicious fusion of crunchy pickles and creamy cheese, these bites make the perfect snack for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale

16 dill pickles

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup breadcrumbs

2 large eggs

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Drain and pat the pickles dry to remove excess moisture.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper until well-blended.
  4. Scoop a small amount of the cheese filling onto each pickle slice, then top with another slice to create a sandwich.
  5. Set up a dredging station with beaten eggs and breadcrumbs. Dip each pickle sandwich in egg, allowing excess to drip off, then coat in breadcrumbs.
  6. Arrange on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crunchy, flipping halfway.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving with a dipping sauce.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider air-frying the bites. Substitute gluten-free breadcrumbs for dietary restrictions.
