Description

A tantalizing appetizer that combines rich brie cheese, tart cranberry sauce, and savory pancetta, all baked in flaky puff pastry.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry
  • 8 oz Brie Cheese
  • 1 cup Cranberry Sauce
  • 4 oz thinly sliced Pancetta
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Thyme, chopped
  • 1 Egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and transfer it to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Gently score a ½-inch border around the edges of the puff pastry.
  4. Evenly spread the cranberry sauce within the scored border and reserve some for topping.
  5. Cut the brie cheese into small pieces and distribute them over the cranberry sauce.
  6. Sprinkle the diced pancetta and chopped thyme over the top.
  7. Whisk the egg and brush it over the puff pastry border.
  8. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and puffed.
  9. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Consider making homemade cranberry sauce for enhanced flavor. You can use phyllo dough for a lighter option or substitute bacon for the pancetta.
