- 1 jar Maraschino Cherries, drained
- 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
- 1 tsp Almond Extract
- Crushed Nuts (Optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Begin by draining the maraschino cherries from their syrup. Pat them dry gently with a paper towel.
- In a medium bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add almond extract and mix until well combined.
- Use a small spoon or piping bag to fill each cherry with the cream cheese mixture, forming a rounded top.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips in 30-second increments, stirring in between.
- Carefully dip each stuffed cherry into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- If using crushed nuts, sprinkle them on top of the dipped cherries before the chocolate sets.
- Place the dipped cherries on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow chocolate to harden.
Notes
Avoid overfilling the cherries to prevent them from bursting. Ensure you pat the cherries dry for the filling to adhere properly.
