Delightful cookies that combine rich chocolate with crunchy hazelnuts for a satisfying treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup hazelnuts, roasted and chopped
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  7. Fold in dark chocolate chips and chopped hazelnuts.
  8. Using a cookie scoop, drop heaping spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are set; cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use almond flour instead of all-purpose flour. Adjust cooking time if using a different type of sugar.
