- 1 cup hazelnuts, roasted and chopped
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar

- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in dark chocolate chips and chopped hazelnuts.
- Using a cookie scoop, drop heaping spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are set; cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, use almond flour instead of all-purpose flour. Adjust cooking time if using a different type of sugar.
