Description

Delightful chocolate-dipped brownie hearts that satisfy your sweet tooth and are perfect for celebrations.


Ingredients

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

2 large eggs

1/2 cup butter, melted

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Chocolate melts or chocolate for dipping


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, beat the eggs and stir in melted butter and vanilla extract.
  5. Fold the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in semi-sweet chocolate chips, reserving some for topping.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Cool for 10 minutes, then lift out and cut into heart shapes.
  10. Melt chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals.
  11. Dip each brownie heart into the melted chocolate and place on a parchment-lined tray to set.
  12. Sprinkle optional toppings before chocolate sets.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, you can substitute the all-purpose flour with almond flour. To make it dairy-free, use coconut oil instead of butter.
