Description

A guilt-free brownie recipe that uses cottage cheese for a healthier twist without compromising on fudgy texture and rich flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup cottage cheese

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup sugar or sugar substitute

1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

Optional add-ins: chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruits

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a food processor, blend the cottage cheese until smooth and creamy.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat together eggs, applesauce, and vanilla extract until smooth, then fold in blended cottage cheese.
  5. Gradually add dry mixture into wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan with non-stick spray or parchment paper.
  7. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow brownies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
