Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 lean to fat ratio)

1/2 lb ground pork

1 cup fresh breadcrumbs

1 onion, finely chopped

1 egg

1/4 cup milk

1/4 tsp nutmeg

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef and ground pork.
  3. Add breadcrumbs and finely chopped onions to the mixture.
  4. Crack the egg into the bowl and pour in the milk.
  5. Sprinkle in salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  6. Wet your hands slightly and roll the mixture into meatballs the size of golf balls.
  7. Place them evenly spaced on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for approximately 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  9. Let the meatballs rest for 5 minutes before serving.
