Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 3 cups apples, peeled and diced
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Warm the milk in a saucepan, stir in the yeast, and allow to froth for 5–10 minutes.
- Mix flour, sugar, and salt in one bowl, and whisk eggs and melted butter in another.
- Combine milk mixture into flour mixture and mix until a soft dough forms, adding more flour if too sticky.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes, then let it rise in a greased bowl for 1 hour.
- Mix diced apples with cinnamon and sugar; set aside.
- Roll out risen dough into a rectangle, approximately 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread apple filling on the dough, fold edges, and shape it into a ring.
- Place on a greased baking sheet, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Whisk powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk; drizzle over warm Kringle before serving.
Notes
Can be served warm or at room temperature. Pairs well with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
