Instructions
- Prepare the Apples: Peel, core, and dice the apples into small chunks. Toss them with cinnamon and a bit of sugar.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: Beat the egg, then mix in milk and vanilla extract.
- Combine Wet and Dry: Slowly add wet mixture to dry mix, stirring gently.
- Fold in Apples: Gently fold diced apples into batter.
- Heat the Oil: Heat oil in a pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Fry the Donuts: Drop batter into hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Drain and Glaze: Remove donuts from oil, drain on paper towels, and drizzle with glaze.
