1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, packed
½ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 cup caramel candies, cut into pieces
1 cup milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Gently fold in the caramel pieces.
- Scoop rounded dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set and slightly golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Melt the milk chocolate and drizzle over the cooled cookies.
Notes
For a healthier alternative, consider using whole wheat flour or coconut oil.
