Description

Decadent chewy cookies with crunchy caramel and a milk chocolate drizzle, replicating the store-bought Twix indulgence at home.


Ingredients

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar, packed

½ cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

1 cup caramel candies, cut into pieces

1 cup milk chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a large bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  7. Gently fold in the caramel pieces.
  8. Scoop rounded dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set and slightly golden.
  10. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  11. Melt the milk chocolate and drizzle over the cooled cookies.

Notes

For a healthier alternative, consider using whole wheat flour or coconut oil.
