Description

A deliciously versatile dish that combines a variety of flavors and textures in a golden, flaky crust, perfect for dinner or appetizers.


Ingredients

  • Pizza Dough
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Pepperoni
  • Bell Peppers
  • Onions
  • Spinach
  • Olive Oil
  • Parmesan Cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté onions and bell peppers until softened. Stir in spinach just until wilted, then remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  3. On a floured surface, roll out your pizza dough into a rectangular shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Starting from one end of the rolled dough, layer the mozzarella cheese, sautéed vegetables, and pepperoni evenly, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  5. Carefully roll the dough away from you, tucking the filling into the center as you go, and pinch the seams to seal.
  6. Transfer the rolled Stromboli to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush the top with olive oil, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Optionally, create slits on the top for steam to escape.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and crispy.
  8. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For a healthier version, use whole wheat dough and low-fat cheese, and feel free to swap ingredients based on your preference.
