Description
A deliciously versatile dish that combines a variety of flavors and textures in a golden, flaky crust, perfect for dinner or appetizers.
Ingredients
- Pizza Dough
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Pepperoni
- Bell Peppers
- Onions
- Spinach
- Olive Oil
- Parmesan Cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté onions and bell peppers until softened. Stir in spinach just until wilted, then remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- On a floured surface, roll out your pizza dough into a rectangular shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Starting from one end of the rolled dough, layer the mozzarella cheese, sautéed vegetables, and pepperoni evenly, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
- Carefully roll the dough away from you, tucking the filling into the center as you go, and pinch the seams to seal.
- Transfer the rolled Stromboli to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush the top with olive oil, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Optionally, create slits on the top for steam to escape.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and crispy.
- Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For a healthier version, use whole wheat dough and low-fat cheese, and feel free to swap ingredients based on your preference.
