Instructions

- Sift together almond flour and confectioners’ sugar in a separate bowl.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the meringue to form a batter that flows like lava.
- Pipe heart shapes onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between them.
- Let the piped shells sit at room temperature for 30-60 minutes until they form a skin.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until tops are firm and can be lifted easily.
- Prepare your filling while baking; whip butter and gradually add confectioners’ sugar and flavoring.
- Assemble by spreading filling on one shell and pressing another on top.
