Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually incorporate this into the wet ingredients.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
