Description

Simple yet flavorful muffins infused with garlic and rosemary, perfect as a side dish or snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast; let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, salt, and garlic.
  3. Add olive oil and fresh rosemary to the yeast mixture and mix well.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture; stir until a sticky dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  6. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  7. Punch down the dough, divide into portions, and shape them into muffins; place in a greased muffin tin.
  8. Cover muffin tin and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  10. Brush muffin tops with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and rosemary, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
