1 cup diced fresh strawberries

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  4. Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture, mixing until fully incorporated.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  7. Gently fold in the diced strawberries and chocolate chips.
  8. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  11. Optional: Melt chocolate chips and drizzle over cooled cookies.
