Description

Delightful dessert bars combining sweet cherries and tropical coconut for an irresistible treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup melted butter (or coconut oil for dairy-free)
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk (or coconut cream for dairy-free)
  • 1 ½ cups unsweetened coconut flakes (or sweetened for a sweeter touch)
  • 1 cup chopped cherries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or dark chocolate chips)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs with melted butter and press into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish to form a crust.
  3. Evenly pour the sweetened condensed milk over the crust.
  4. Sprinkle the coconut flakes, chopped cherries, and chocolate chips over the condensed milk layer.
  5. Bake for about 25 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
  6. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
  7. Cut into squares or bars and serve.
